In the event that any payment is to be refunded Max Cars Accrington Ltd t/a Max Cabs will make the refund payment back to the credit/debit card from which the original payment was made from.
If for any reason the payment cannot be made back to the originating card for reasons outside Max Cars Accrington Ltd t/a Max Cabs control a cheque refund will be made to the named cardholder ONLY.
Credit/debit card providers, online banks and the secure online banking regulations have introduced stricter security measures. This means we need to check we can take payment from your card and ensure you are the owner of the card. You do not need to worry if you cancel your trip, you might still see a ‘pending’ amount on your account.
This pending amount will be refunded to your original card. However, some banks take longer to release those funds, so please contact your bank if the “pending” amount has not been released after three days.
When a journey is paid for by credit or debit card through our consumer App, website or emailed payment link, the transaction is carried out on behalf of your driver as we act as booking agents for self-employed drivers.
If you need to cancel your booking, please contact Max Cars Accrington Ltd t/a Max Cabs as soon as possible. If you cancel a booking after the vehicle has been dispatched, then a charge may be incurred; the charge will be based on the distance/time that the allocated driver has travelled/spent prior to the point of cancellation. As a general rule journeys from airports are dispatched up to One hour before flight arrival.
Max Cars Accrington Ltd t/a Max Cabs will refuse or terminate any booking with immediate effect if it places any driver or vehicle at risk of damage, violence or abuse by you or by any passenger in your party and we will ask all passengers to vacate the vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so. No refunds will be given if the journey is terminated part way through the hire.
Max Cars Accrington Ltd t/a Max Cabs shall use all reasonable endeavours to get you to your destination on time but shall not be liable for any loss due to delays caused by road or traffic conditions beyond its control on the journey. Under no circumstances shall Max Cars Accrington Ltd t/a Max Cabs be liable (in contract, tort or otherwise) for any loss of profits, business or for any indirect or consequential loss whatsoever.
All luggage is carried entirely at your risk.
Max Cars Accrington Ltd t/a Max Cabs shall be entitled to cancel all services and provide refunds in the event of a declared national emergency, riot, war, fuel shortage, extreme weather or terrorist attack, or other circumstances beyond its control. If the car breaks down during your journey Max Cars Accrington Ltd t/a Max Cabs will endeavour to arrange an alternative car to complete the journey as soon as practicable.
You shall indemnify Max Cars Accrington Ltd t/a Max Cabs against all losses, costs, damages and expenses arising from any act or omission of any passenger in your party.
Neither party excludes or limits its liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for wilful default or fraudulent misrepresentation, or otherwise in any manner unenforceable by any applicable law.
